Other Hitz Home News

Residents making their home at the Hitz Home have enjoyed many activities this summer. Music provided by many volunteers, bingo, games, Bible studies and crafts. One of the most beautiful activities was the chance to make their own flower arrangements with flowers donated by the Harris family.

Alhambra Care Center

Fun was the word of the month for the residents at Alhambra Care. Volunteers Renee and Don brought in the residents favorite tropical birds for a visit. The chameleon is another of their favorites and getting to interact with the animals makes it even more fun.

Hawaiian Day was spent wearing grass skirts and listening to Hawaiian music compliments of Mark Phelps on the piano.

One day, Bernadette Banovz brought back memories when she brought in her collection of miniature outhouses.

Bible studies with Don Pratt, his wife Kay, and their dog Lucy were enjoyed outside on a beautiful day.

Village Flag Drive was a huge success

Alhambra residents showed their patriotism by donating so generously to the flag campaign. The final count has not been made yet, but there have been nearly 100 flags donated. The last donations were
