Hill’s Fort in Greenville plans ‘Living History Weekend’

History is not just taught in the classroom, but also taught through experiences.

Sept. 18-20 is a great time for you and your family to “experience” history as it actually occurred near Greenville in 1814.

The Hill’s Fort Society is sponsoring Hill’s Fort Living History Weekend at the Hill’s Fort reconstructed site on the grounds of the American Farm Heritage Museum, off Route 127 just south of exit 45 from I-70. A reenactment of events that actually took place at Hill’s Fort in 1814 will occur at 11 a.m. on Sept. 19. There will be re-enactors there all three days, as well as traders and sutlers.

The reconstructed fort is growing. If you haven’t visited lately, come out and see all the work that has been done.
