Alhambra News for the week of Oct. 1
Food pantry needs more room
The Bread of Life Food Pantry is in need of expanding its storage space.
Currently the Food Pantry is located on the campus of the New Life Christian Fellowship in Hamel and is governed by the Alhambra-Hamel Ministerial Alliance serving Alhambra, Hamel and Worden and other nearby communities.
Since 2012 the Pantry has had an increase of 40 percent in the families needing help.
The alliance, with the help of several congregations has raised $5,000, toward the purchase of a new building and needs the communities help in raising the additional $7,000 to attain the amount needed.
The Bread of Life is a non-profit organization, so all donations are considered tax free. Cash donations may be made to Bread of Life Food Pantry or AHMA. Please mark “Building Fund” on the check. Please mail all contributions to: AHMA 1117 W. North Street Alhambra IL 62001
