St. Joseph’s Hospital nursing open house set for Saturday

Local registered nurses (RN) looking to make an employment transition, maybe take on a second job to increase earnings, acquire some continuing education credits, or any combination of those options need to attend the HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital (Highland) Nursing Open House on Saturday, Oct. 17.

The event will take place in the hospital’s Ungacta Conference Room on the campus of the new St. Joseph’s Hospital, 12866 Troxler Avenue in Highland.

Attendees are encouraged to bring resumes and be prepared to meet with department hiring managers and representatives from the hospital’s People Services Department to explore and learn more about available employment opportunities in the Emergency Department (ED), Nurse Float Pool, and the Inpatient Services Department.

Nursing Open House Schedule

The day’s schedule of activities is as follows:

8:30 to 9 a.m. Registration

9 to 10 a.m. Special guest speaker Jo Ann Pritchett, DNP, RN, CCRN will speak on the topic: “Compassion Fatigue.” Continuing Education credits are available. Nursing contact hours are awarded through St. John’s College Department of Continuing Education.

10 a.m. to noon Meet with hospital department leaders and tours of the new St. Joseph’s Hospital campus
