Maryville Turkey Trot set for Nov. 14

The Maryville Parks and Recreation Department will host its 11th annual Turkey Trot 5K run and 1-mile walk/run in Drost Park, which is just off Illinois Route 159 and Vadalabene Drive.

Registration runs from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. Both races start at 9 a.m. Race-day registration is $25, without shirt, or $30 with long-sleeve T-shirt.

The 1-mile Accuracy Walk/Run is free. There will be a High School Senior Participation Scholarship drawing. A minimum of $300 will be awarded to one senior student planning to attend school in the fall and participates in this event. A drawing will be held after the race. A Team Participation Award, Overall and Overall Master male and female winners, and division winners will receive medals and prizes.
