Free seminar on pet first aid to be held in Highland
Double J Doggie Play N Stay, 803 3rd St. in Highland, in conjunction with Hawthorne Animal Hospital, will hold a pet first aid seminar on Thursday, Nov. 19.
Registration and doors open at 6 p.m. Interactive sessions will run from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and touch on topics such as: CPR, triage, seizures, poison consumption, collapse, broken bones and the ever popular, foreign body ingestion. Brief presentations will be followed by hands-on demonstrations and training.
First-aid starter bags containing valuable first aid items and trinkets will be sold for $10, and all money collected will benefit Second Chance Pet Rescue.
The seminar is free to attend, but space is limited to 30 attendees, so RSVPs are encouraged. Bring a donation of bleach or paper towels and you will receive a bonus gift at the door.
