Highland area police briefs for Nov. 9-22

Highland woman charged with felony theft

Highland police charged Bethay D. Partain, 36, of Highland with felony retail theft on Nov. 15. Police allege she took unspecified items form Walmart. The charge was enhanced to a felony because it was her second offense. She had a prior conviction on Sept. 10, 2015.

HPD misdemeanor warrant arrest

▪ Bernard M. Alonzo, 25, of Highland was arrested by HPD on Nov. 14 on a warrant from Collinsville police for burglary. He was turned over to Collinsville police.

▪ Kierra A. Brown, 22, of Alton was arrested by HPD on Nov. 12. Brown had four outstanding warrants. Two were from Illinois State Police, one for failure to appear in court on charges of driving while having a suspended license and a seat belt violation, and the other for failure to appear on a child restraint violation. Alton police also had a warrant out for Brown for failure to appear on a charge of driving while having a suspended license, and Brown was wanted in St. Clair County for speeding. HPD also charged Brown with driving while having a suspended/revoked license.

▪ Sondra K. Walsh, 58, of Highland was charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.

▪ Susan M. Padgett, 48, of Highland was charged with retail theft for allegedly taking items from Walmart having a total value of $50.70.

Nov. 12

▪ Ryan M. Heidel, 36, of St. Charles, Mo., was charged with driving while having a suspended/revoked license and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.

▪ No tickets issued.

Nov. 14

▪ Nicholas W. Barry, 23, of Marine was charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and having an expired vehicle registration.

Nov. 15

▪ No tickets issued.

Nov. 16

▪ Dorothy M. Willie, 83, of Highland was charged with disobeying a traffic signal and having an expired vehicle registration.

Nov. 17

▪ No tickets issued.

Nov. 18

▪ A juvenile, 16, of Highland was charged with domestic battery. No further information was available.

Nov. 19

▪ No tickets issued.

Nov. 20

▪ Covanta M. Parker, 18, of Highland was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and theft for allegedly taking two makeup items from Walmart having a value of $38.58.

▪ Alison N. Krump, 23, of Highland was charged with having an expired vehicle registration.

▪ Kelsey V. Koller, 19, of Alhambra was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Nov. 21

▪ Tristen G. Hastings, 18, of Highland was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

▪ Joshua W. Hart, 32, of Highland was charged with squealing tires and illegal transportation of alcohol.

▪ Drelyn J. Wright, 19, was charged with driving while having a suspended/revoked license.

Nov. 22

▪ Samantha Strode, 25, of Highland was charged with having an expired vehicle registration and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
