New Douglas Baptist Church events
Members of New Douglas Baptist Church will be Christmas Caroling on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. Anyone who would like to join in should meet at the church at 5:45 p.m.
The church will be collecting non-perishable items for Christmas baskets. Have your donations dropped off at the church by Sunday, Dec. 20.
The church will celebrate of the Lord and Savior’s birth on Sunday, Dec. 20 services, which will start at 10:40 a.m. The Christmas play will also be held that evening at 6 p.m.

Watch Night Service will be held on Dec. 31 at New Douglas Baptist Church. Services start at 7 p.m. and go until midnight at the church. Join in for a night of fun, food and games. Bring your friends and family. Everyone invited.
Community to host live Nativity
The churches of New Douglas will hold a live Nativity on Saturday, Dec. 12, at New Douglas Township Park. There will be showings at 6 and 7 p.m. The event is free to attend.

Dec. 3 Christmas Program for Highland Primary, grade 1, at 7 p.m. in the HE Auditorium
Dec. 7 Christmas Program for Highland Primary, grade 2, at 7 p.m. in the HE Auditorium
Dec. 8 Band concert for grades 6-12 in the HMS gym at 7 p.m.
Dec. 10 Christmas Program for Highland Primary, kindergarten, at 7 p.m. in the HE Auditorium
Dec. 11 & 12 Madrigal Dinner at Highland High School at 6:30 p.m. in the HHS Bulldog Square
Dec. 13 Madrigal Dinner at Highland High School at 5 p.m. in the HHS Bulldog Square
Dec. 15 Christmas Program at Grantfork Elementary at 7 p.m. in Grantfork
Dec. 17 Christmas Program at Alhambra Primary. Grades K-1 will be from 6:30 to 7 p.m., and grades 2-3 will perform from 7:30 to 8 p.m.
The New Douglas Fire Department meets every Monday (except the third Monday) every month. The department is actively looking for new members. Minimum age requirement to join the department is 18. Contact Chief Danny Robertson at (217) 456-6221 for more information.
The American Legion meets every second Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
The Masonic Lodge meets every third Wednesday at 7 p.m.
