Grantfork Elementary
This past week, the Highland High School Madrigal singers performed for the enjoyment of the students and teachers.
The Book Fair, under the leadership of Hannah Bassett, was a huge success. Thank you to the parents that volunteered their time to come in and help. The library as well as the classrooms will benefit with new books coming their way. The final tally has not been done yet, should available soon.
The Raging Rivers reading program is done for the year. A total of 29 students participated and shall receive their free ticket to Raging Rivers Water Park this spring.
The Christmas Program will be Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m.
The school Christmas party will be from 1-2:30 on Dec. 22 and early dismissal for the Christmas Break will be at 2:40 on Dec. 22.
Grantfork UCC
Santa was seen in the village on Sunday, Dec. 6. The tree was lit and refreshments were served.
Poinsettia For Loved Ones
The church will once again be festooned with the beauty of the poinsettia. Anyone wishing to buy a flower in honor or memory of a loved one may do so by contacting: Mary Lou 654-4382 or Kathy 520-9513. The deadline is Saturday, Dec. 12. Cost of the plant is $9.50.
Sunday School Christmas Program and Cantanta will be on Sunday, Dec. 20.
The Children’s Program will be at 9 a.m. and the Cantata, “A Breath of Heaven” will be performed at 10:15 a.m.
