Historical Society still has Sesquicentennial Book indexes for sale
The Highland Historical Society is reminding all that the index for the 1987 Highland Sesquicentennial Book is ready for purchase. It is available for $10 at The Giving Tree, Lee’s Fine Jewelry, Loans & More, and First Cloverleaf Bank in Highland. You can also call 654-6781.
The easy-to-use index was developed by Karen Mason. She found the “Big Red Sequi Book” difficult to use when doing genealogy research. The book is a great source of historical information on families, businesses, churches and organizations, but to find those topics, you must page through the whole book. Mason’s index is very thorough and easy to use. She developed the index herself, and the Highland Historical Society published it for her.
