Highland children’s library sets winter/spring programs
Jennie Latzer Kaeser Children’s Library, 1001 9th St. in Highland, has announced its programs for winter and spring.
Preschool programs, Wednesdays from 10 to 10:30 a.m. (Ages 3-5): Jan. 6, Pete the Cat; Feb. 3, Chinese New Year; March 2, Dr. Seuss’ Birthday; April 6, Chickens and Ducks; and May 4, Mother’s Day.
Lap-Sit Programs, Thursdays from 10 to 10:30 a.m. (Ages 18-36 months): Jan. 14, Bears; Feb. 11, Mice; March 10, Eggs; April 14, Fish; and May 12, Bugs.
The Young & the Restless, Tuesdays from 10 to 10:30 a.m. (Ages 0-18 months): Rhymes, stories, songs and finger plays for babies on Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 15, April 19, and May 17.
Family Programs

PAWS (All ages): Read to a therapy dog. Thursdays, Jan. 21, Feb. 18, March 17, April 21 and May 19, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Chess Club (Ages 6 and up): Mondays, Jan. 18, Feb. 15, March 21, April 18, May 16, from 4 to 5 p.m.
LEGO Club (All ages): Mondays, Jan. 25, Feb. 22, March 28, April 25 and May 23, from 4 to 5 p.m.
Thursday Evening Story Time: Stories read every Thursday from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.
