All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the 2016 Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The local competition will be held on Saturday, Jan. 16 at 10 a.m. at the St. Paul School gym.
The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is a free event that is sponsored annually, with winners progressing through local, district and state competitions. All boys and girls who are ages 9 to 14, on Jan. 1, 2016 are eligible to participate and will compete in their respective age divisions. Last year, more then 179,000 shooters participated in more than 3,000 local competitions.
The first three winners in their respective age group will be recognized, with the first place winner being eligible to move on to the next round of competition. Participants are required to furnish proof of age and written parental consent.
Registration will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. with the competition beginning at 10 a.m. For more information, call the Knights of Columbus Hall at 654-9049.
