Planning meeting set for Feb. 1
Madison County Development will be conducting an public hearing on the “2016 Annual Action Plan and the Community Need” for the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Program. The meeting will take place on Monday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. at the Grantfork Village Hall, 205 Rock St. in Grantfork.
The public is invited to add thoughts on what the most pressing needs are for the 2016 Annual Action Plan.

Lane closure set on Route 160 Friday
Illinois Route 160 will have intermittent lane restrictions during daytime hours on Friday, Jan. 29 between Herman Street in Grantfork and Silver Lake Road, weather permitting. Crews will be doing geotechnical investigations for proposed road improvements.
Grantfork School News
On Feb. 27, the PTO will host a Bowling Night/ Parents Night Out.
Classes will begin roller skating in P.E. on Feb. 16.
On Feb. 15, schools observe Presidents Day. There will be no school on this day.
An after-school skate camp will run on Feb. 16, 18 and 19 for those signed up for this activity.

In the event of inclement weather and Sunday school and church should need to be called off, there will be a message left on the church answering machine by 7:30 a.m. Call 675-2595.
