Engagement: Jamruk-Morthland

Kate Jamruk and Michael Morthland, both of Springfield, Ill., are engaged.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Beth Hundsdorfer of Highland. She is an assistant counsel to the Illinois Speaker of the House’s Technical Review Legal Staff. She will graduate in 2016 from the Southern Illinois University School of Law. She is a 2012 graduate of Southern Illinois University and a 2007 graduate of Highland High School.

The groom-to-be is the son of Mark Morthland and Wendy Morthland of Decatur, Ill. He graduated in 2015 from the Southern Illinois University School of Law. He is a 2012 graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a 2008 graduate of McCarthur High School in Decatur. He is an attorney with the Appellate Court of Illinois.

The wedding is planned for September 2017.
