Highland Animal Hospital announces the addition of a new veterinarian to the practice, Dr. Jennifer Fuller.

Dr. Fuller joins the veterinary team of Dr. Michelle Leckrone and Dr. Heather Tegeler.

Dr. Fuller has worked in the metro-east for over a decade and is said she is excited to meet the area community and their pets. She grew up about two hours south of Highland, in Cobden, Ill., at the heart of the Shawnee Forest. Early on, she knew she wanted to pursue veterinary medicine after shadowing farm calls and working as a kennel worker at a mixed animal practice near her home town.

She attended undergraduate school at Murray State University and then completed her education in veterinary medicine at The University of Illinois, graduating in 2004.

Dr. Fuller will be involved with all aspects the Highland Animal Hospital provides for pets, such as routine wellness and sick patient appointments, surgery, dentistry, digital X-ray, cold laser therapy, blood work analysis, etc.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her feline friends and her 15-year-old husky mix, Sadie. She loves activities like hiking and camping, crochet or sewing and enjoys bluegrass music.

Dr. Fuller is available at the hospital Monday through Saturday, and can be reached at 654-4688.
