Clinton County Showcase to present “Schoolhouse Rock Live!”
The show is the stage adaptation of the Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math science and more through clever, tuneful songs.
In the show, Tami, a nerve-wracked school teacher nervous about his first day of teaching, tries to relax by watching TV when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such beloved Schoolhouse Rock songs as Just A Bill, Lolly, Lolly, Lolly and Conjunction Junction.
Shows will be Feb. 5-7 and Feb. 12-14. On Friday and Saturday, doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. On Sunday, doors open at 1:30 p.m., and the show starts at 2 p.m. All shows are at the Avon Theater, 525 N. Second St. in Breese.
