Hard Road Theatre to host auditions for “First Date”

Hard Road Theatre Productions will host auditions for the musical comedy First Date at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 8 at Highland Elementary School, 1800 Lindenthal Ave. Auditions will be in the chorus room, located behind the auditorium stage. Call-backs will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 9.

Those auditioning should bring a modern Broadway-style piece that highlights their vocal abilities. (The music in First Date is not traditional and allows for a variation of voice types, including rock and swing.) Songs should be at least 32 measures in length.

Also, come prepared to perform “cold reads” from the script and be aware of any personal conflicts between Feb. 15 through April.
