Highland area police briefs for the week of Feb. 1-7

HPD misdemeanors, citations, tickets
Feb. 1-2

Feb. 3
▪ Joyce L. File, 53, of Pocahontas was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly telling an officer that someone had struck her parked vehicle while she was inside a store, knowing at the time that there was “no reasonable ground” for believing that’s what had happened.
Feb. 4
▪ Kristall Johnson, 28, of St. Jacob was charged with driving under the influence and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
Feb. 5
▪ Karen McMann, 52, of Belleville was charged with having an expired vehicle registration.
▪ Samantha M. Micheimer, 23, of Highland was charged with domestic battery for allegedly pulling on the shirt a family member, causing a mark on the neck pushing the victim and causing him to strike his face on the wall. Police allege she also struck him in the back with her fists.
Feb. 6
▪ Jon Rinderer, 34, of Highland was charged with speeding and having an expired vehicle registration.
Feb. 7
▪ No tickets issued.
