“Discovery Sunday” in Maryville to focus on floral design

The Maryville Parks and Recreation Department will be offering a wide variety of topics to “discover” in their annual Discovery Sundays series.

“Floral Design Ideas” will be the topic on Feb. 21 with Jeff and Zach Bair of Grimm & Gorly Too Flowers & Gifts in Troy. They will demonstrate how to make floral tablescapes, living door wreaths and hangings as well as fresh arrangements.

In order to have enough handouts at each of the sessions, pre-registration is requested, but definitely not required. Call (618) 772-8555 for more information and to register. Feel free to leave a message with name, phone number and number of attendees.

All sessions, which are free and open to the public,. are held from 1 to 3 p.m. at Maryville Community Center, located at 500 E. Division St. Look for blue and green signs to help direct you to the center, which is behind village hall and the police station, just off Illinois Route 159. A session may be canceled if weather is severe.
