St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland to offer CPR/AED class

February is Heart Month, and HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland is offering a Heartsaver CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) AED (automated external defibrillator) class at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16. The class is open to the public and will be held at St. Joseph’s Highland.

The Heartsaver CPR AED class is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course for adults. This course is appropriate for any adult with limited or no medical training. The course teaches skills with American Heart Association’s research proven techniques. Participants in this class will learn CPR and AED use, as well as how to relieve choking on an adult.

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate that meets job or regulatory requirements for anyone needing proof of completion of a CPR AED course. Cost for the course is $25.
