Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Douglas to host special Lenten concert
Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Douglas will host a concert of Sacred Music for Lent on Sunday, March 13 at 3 p.m. Charles Johnson will be the soloist, and he will be accompanied on the piano by Dale Niehaus, formerly of New Douglas. Johnson is a professionally trained singer, who has sung in places as varied as Yankee Stadium, the Metropolitan Opera and in churches of all sizes and many denominations throughout the country. His mission and passion is to sing traditional sacred music that is grounded in Scripture and gives glory to God. All are welcome. A reception will follow the concert.
