Whiskey Dixon is set to headline the Highland Chamber of Commerce’s Barn Dance on Saturday, April 2, set at the Lindendale Ball Room.
Every spring, the chamber hosts a unique silent auction event in an effort to raise funds to pay for their many quality of life community projects in the Highland area, such as the Peanut Butter and Jam Festivals, the Street Art Festival, the lighted Christmas Parade and the Christmas decorations on the Square.
“Many people do not realize how the Chamber affects their daily lives. Our chamber building and staff also functions as the visitors center/concierge for Highland community.” said Nancie Zobrist, executive director for the Highland Chamber of Commerce. “Hillarie and I have the wonderful opportunity of welcoming people to Highland. We provide new resident packets, visitor information and business referrals, as well as answer resident questions. Our website has a community calendar that we keep as updated as possible, as well as a wealth of other community information. Our annual fundraiser helps to fund these endeavors that are not specifically related to business.”
This year, the Highland Chamber’s fundraiser will be debuting a new digital aspect to its auction.
Tickets to the event are $50 and can be reserved in advance by calling the Highland Chamber of Commerce at 654-3721.
