The Highland Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 24 in the upstairs meeting rooms at the Korte Recreation Center beginning.
John Johnston will be giving a presentation of his trip to Butchert Gardens. Many tourists consider Butchert Gardens the best botanical garden in the world. The Butchert Gardens is a group of floral display gardens in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia, located near Victoria, on Vancouver Island. The gardens receive close to a million visitors each year and have been designated a National Historic Site, due to their international renown.
The Highland Garden Club meets monthly on the fourth Thursday of each month. The mission of the club is: “To plant the seeds of knowledge, cultivate friendships, grow in our appreciation of nature, harvest ideas, and preserve the beauty of our community.”
