Kohlbrecher Truck Service in St. Rose purchased by The Equity

The Equity has purchased of Kohlbrecher Truck Service Inc. in St. Rose.

“The Kohlbrecher business and location is very complementary to our expansion in Greenville, Ill.,” said The Equity chief executive officer Bruce Vernon. “The addition of Kohlbrechers will enable us to offer a wider range of products and services for this upcoming spring application season.”

The Equity, founded in 1919, is one of the largest independent agricultural cooperatives in the United States, with 19 locations covering more than 10,000 square miles. Family-owned Kohlbrecher Truck Service engages in agronomy, feed and farm supplies, and commercial trucking operations.

“Our team is excited to join the ranks of an organization such as The Equity,” said Butch Kolhbrecher, owner of Kohlbrecher Trucking. “We share core values and are aligned in our vision of providing excellent customer service.”

The Equity offers some of the most advanced technology-based services available. Services are provided to member-owners in agronomy, grain, energy, feed and livestock, and hardware.

The purchase was finalized on March 10.
