Grantfork Elementary

Spring break will be March 21-28, with classes resuming on March 29.

UCC Egg Hunt

The Easter egg hunt sponsored by Grantfork United Church of Christ will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 26 at 1 p.m. at the church.

Leef Township Meeting

The Leef Township Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 12 at 8 p.m. at the Leef Township Building. The agenda will be as follows: Call to order, approval of minutes, approval of financial report, the reports of the auditors, supervisor, road commissioner and assessor, old business, new business/resolution requests, other new business, and adjournment. St. Gertrude Chicken Dinner Raffle

Donations for the chicken dinner raffle are now being accepted. Contact Carly Ann Maurer at 488-3183 if you would like to make a donation.

Catholic Holy Week Schedule

Holy Week Schedule for St. Nicholas in Pocahontas, St. Gertrude in Grantfork and Immaculate Conception in Pierron is as follows:

Holy Thursday, March 24: 7 p.m. at St. Nicholas (Night Watch)

Good Friday, March 25: Stations of the Cross at 3 p.m. at St. Nicholas

Good Friday Liturgy: 7 p.m. at St. Gertrude

Easter Vigil, March 26: 8 p.m. at Immaculate Conception

Grantfork UCC

This year’s confirmation class will be serving Easter Breakfast on Sunday, March 27 at 8 a.m. Easter worship will be at 9 a.m. There will be no Sunday school or Confirmation.

Maunday Thursday Communion Service will be held Thursday, March 24 at 7 p.m.

Yoga classes will be held Friday morning at 9 a.m.

The Highland Area Ministerial Alliance Good Friday Service will be held at the First Congregational Church at 12:10 p.m.

Easter Sunrise Service will be at the Highland Hope UMC at 6:30 a.m.

Choir Concert for Hitz Auxiliary

The choir concert for the Hitz Home Auxiliary will be held at Salem United Church of Christ in Alhambra on Sunday, April 10 at 2 p.m. The Grantfork Choir will perform.
