60th Anniversary: Cyril & Dolores Weis
Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Weis of Pocahontas will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a Mass of thanksgiving at Immaculate Conception Church in Pierron on Sunday, April 17. An open house will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Immaculate Conception Hall.
Dolores (nee Huelsmann) and Cyril Weis were married on April 18, 1956 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Aviston by Father George W. Lohman.
They have eight children, who all reside in the area, Diane (Rich) Boeser, Ken (Lynn) Weis, Rich (Margaret) Weis, Joyce (Duane) Schlemper, Gerald (Geralyn) Weis, Doris (Dave) Eilers, Dave (Tricia) Weis, and Brenda (the late Perry) Knackstedt. They have been blessed with 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
They still reside at the same country location where they raised their family, 223 Pocahontas Ave.
