Cooking class for kids to be held at EvUCC

Evangelical United Church of Christ, 2520 Poplar St. in Highland, will host a free cooking class for children on Saturday, April 16.

The class will run from from 9 to 11 a.m. and is for all young chefs ages kindergarten to sixth grade. It will be an interactive lesson with hands-on activities that will introduce children to age-appropriate cooking skills and nutrition.

This class is provided by the Board of Christian Education and University of Illinois Extension. There is no fee, and children can bring their friends. It’s asked that you call the church office by April 15 at 654-7459 and let them know how many children will be attending.
