Highland environmental book group to meet at Latzer Library

Highland’s environmental book group, Stuck on Earth, will meet Thursday, June 16 at at 6:30 p.m. at the Latzer Library. The group will be discussing the book Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Survive by Jared Diamond.

Whether or not you have been able to read the book in its entirety, come and listen to the ideas presented. Diamond presents his theories giving examples from history of global societies that suffered and failed because of societal choices that they made.

Barbara Hosto-Marti, having recently completed her doctorate in political science, will lead the discussion.
