Highland area police briefs for June 27-July 3

HPD warrant arrests
▪ A juvenile, 17, of Highland was arrested on June 29 on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a curfew violation charge and was additionally charged by HPD with possession of drug paraphernalia. The juvenile posted bond.
▪ Joshua D. Crawford, 38, of Highland was arrested by HPD on July 2 on a warrant from Montgomery County for failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. He posted bond.
HPD misdemeanors, tickets, citations
June 27
▪ Nathan Walter, 29, of Highland was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
▪ A juvenile, 15, of New Baden was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly throwing a smoke ball firework into a Dumpster in the 1000 block of Broadway, which caused a fire and prompted several 911 calls.
June 28
▪ No tickets issued.
June 29
▪ Danielle Patzius, 29, of Staunton was charged with having an expired vehicle registration and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
▪ A juvenile, 17, of Highland was charged with theft for allegedly taking two Four Loko malt beverages from Schuette’s Market.
June 30
▪ Heather Potthast, 27, of Highland was charged with driving while having a suspended/revoked license and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
July 1
▪ Matthew K. Fox, 38, of Highland was charged with criminal trespass for allegedly entering property of the Circle K after having previously been told by the business he was forbidden to be there.
July 2
▪ Logan Runge, 21, of Highland was charged with driving while having a suspended/revoked license and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
▪ Beverly Huelsmann, 44, of Highland was charged with improper lane usage and driving without a valid license.
▪ Shayne Ferguson, 19, of Highland was charged with driving too fast for conditions.
July 3
▪ Jason Zappia, 33, of Highland was charged with discharging fireworks.
▪ Matthew K. Fox, 38, of Highland was charged with criminal trespass for allegedly entering property of the Circle K after having previously been told by the business he was forbidden to be there.
