9 to vie for Miss Madison County Fair Queen
Nine young ladies will compete this year in the 25th annual Miss Madison County Fair Queen Pageant.
The pageant will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 30 in the Highland Elementary School auditorium. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children 12 and under.
This year’s contestants are Micah Lowe of St. Jacob, Olivia Bosaw of Troy, Emily Harszy of Gillespie, Kennedi Whitworth of Gillespie, Chyann Taylor of Troy, Holly Copeland of Edwardsville, Layne Paubel of Highland, Ashley Franklin of Troy and Katie Hozian of Granite City.
Junior Miss contestants are Makenzie Garland of Edwardsville, Adelyn Evans of St. Jacob, Brianne Anderson of Troy and Brianna Fenimore of Williamson.
Contestants in both contests must have been a legal resident of Madison County for six months prior to the pageant date or attend a high school or college or work (full-time or part-time) in Madison County.
Contestants participating in the Miss Madison County Fair Queen Pageant must be at least 16 years of age by the pageant date and not have reached their 22nd birthday by Jan.1 of the following year (2017). The Junior Miss Madison County Pageant is open to girls ages 12 to 15.
Little Miss participants will be August Rottmann of Highland, Zoe Willimann of Troy, Kylie Townzen of Grandfork, Skylar Dall of Edwardsville, Clara Meffert of Dorsey and Audrey Barnes of Granite City. The Little Miss Pageant is open to all girls entering kindergarten in a Madison County School in the fall of 2016
