Highland area police briefs for July 18-24

HPD warrant arrests
▪ Eloy P. Perez, 41, of Millstadt was arrested on July 18 on a warrant Aurora, Ill., Police Department for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. Perez posted bond and was released.
▪ Gary Steffen, 61, of Highland was arrested on July 19 on a warrant from Troy police on charges of diving while having a revoked license Revoked. Highland police additionally charged him with driving while having a suspended/revoked license. Steffen was released to Troy Police Department.
▪ Timonthy J. Blaylock, 31, of Highland was arrested on July 21 on a warrant from Highland police for failure to appear in court on a charge of failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. A judge issued a recognizance bond.
HPD misdemeanors, tickets, citations
July 18-19
▪ No other tickets issued.
July 20
▪ Trenton E. Preuter, 18, of Alhambra was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis.
July 21-22
▪ No tickets issued.
July 23
▪ Ronald Messerli, 49, of Greenville was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage.
July 24
▪ Corey Lada, 19, of Highland was charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle.
▪ A juvenile, 17, of Highland was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and possession of cannabis.
