“African market” event in Highland to raise funds to aid Maasai Tribe in Kenya
A community event to raise funds and awareness of the plight of the young girls of the Maasai Tribe in Kenya, Africa, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Highland Hope UMC, 12846 Daiber Road in Highland.
Sponsored by the Ministerial Alliance of Highland on behalf of the Nosim Maasai Mission, the event will feature an African market, with gifts and hand crafts from Kenyan artisans. Admission is free. There will also be refreshments, guest speakers and entertainment for all ages.
Nosim Maasai Mission is a non-profit, Christian charity working to save young girls from female circumcision and forced early marriage.
