Earl O. Streiff, 84, of Highland died on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, June 29 at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 29 at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, with the Rev. Christopher W. Hill, senior pastor of Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland, officiating. Burial will be in Highland City Cemetery.
He was born on April 4, 1931 in Highland to Fremont G. and Linda E. (Pfister) Streiff. On Oct. 16, 1969, he married Mavis F. Schmitt (nee Drake). She passed away on Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004.
Mr. Streiff grew up in Highland. He was baptized and confirmed at the E&R Church in Highland.

He served in the United States Navy from Dec. 7, 1951 to Dec. 2, 1955, with duty on USS Delta.
He worked for Basler Electric and F&J Disposal. He retired on disability in his early 50s.
He and his wife move to Faith Countryside Home Apartments in the summer of 1994. He enjoyed refinishing furniture; for years, he and his wife were vendors at local flea markets.
He was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ, Highland.
Survivors include a step-son, Henry W. (Mary Ann) Schmitt of Belleville; a sister, Lorna E. Wolf of Swansea; a grandchild; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his farther, who died in 1979; his mother, who died in 1984; a brother, Roger E. Streiff; a brother-in-law, Norbert J. Wolf, who died in 2008; and a sister-in-law, Betty Streiff (nee Friedrich).
