Diana Ruth Foltz, 65, of Tucson, Ariz., died Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Peppi’s House Hospice in Tucson, Ariz.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 9 at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 10 at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 10 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland, with Father Pat G. Jakel, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Highland.

She was born on Aug. 26, 1949 in Highland to Vance Albert and Anne Marie (Jacober) Hundsdorfer. On Sept. 21, 1991, she married John W. Foltz. He survives in Tucson.

Mrs. Foltz attended Blessed Sacrament Grade School in Belleville and then Notre Dame High School at Ripa, Mo., for 3 1/2 years. She graduated from Academy of Notre Dame in Belleville.

She lived in Fairborn, Ohio, where she was employed with the Department of Defense. She worked at Scott Air Force Base and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base as a contracting procurement analyst for the Aeronautical System Division. She received the prestigious Outstanding Civilian Career Service Award upon her retirement in 2000.

She earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial technology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and a master of science degree in acquisition and manufacturing management from the Air Force Institute of Technology.

Mrs. Foltz’s true passion concerned hand crafts of all kinds. She was a long-time certified teacher accredited by the McGown Traditional Rug Hooking Organization.

She was also the past regent of the Tucson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the oldest chapter in Arizona. She enjoyed doing genealogical research for herself and prospective members.

Other survivors include her mother, who lives in Highland; a step-daughter, Debbie L. (Jay) Carlton of Fairborn, Ohio; a step-son, William R. (Patty) Foltz of Lake Charles, La.; step-grandchildren, Shelby N. Dixon and Dana M. Dixon of Fairborn, Ohio, and William S. Foltz and Matthew R. Foltz of Lake Charles, La.; and a nephew, Kevin R. Brown of Madison, N.J.

She was preceded in death by her father, who died on July 28, 2000; and a sister, Nancy E. Brown, who died on Feb. 17, 1997.

Memorials may be made to Peppi’s House Hospice (Tucson Medical Center Hospice) or a charity of donor’s choice.
