Linda May, 68
Linda J. May, 68, of Alhambra died on Monday, July 6, 2015 at her home.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 10 and again from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11 at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 11 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Grantfork, with Father David L. Peters, retired pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 13 at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Florissant, Mo.
She was born on Nov. 2, 1946 in Nashville, Tenn., to Beecher and Bertie (O’Guin) Jackson. On Feb. 21, 1976, she married Richard J. May. He survives in Alhambra.
Mrs. May grew up in Nashville, Tenn., and graduated from Antioch High School in Nashville. She worked for the phone company and moved to South Carolina. She later moved to St. Louis while working with Southwestern Bell. She retired as a payroll clerk.
She and her husband lived in Florissant, Mo., and before building their house in Alhambra in 1993.
She was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Grantfork, a former member of St. Norbert Catholic Church in Florissant, Mo., and she volunteered at the Highland Area Christian Service Ministry food pantry. She enjoyed traveling.
Other survivors include a daughter, Tina M. (Peter) Orgera of Danville, Calif., and Richard D. May of Escondido, Calif.; grandchildren, Anamarie and Alexander J. Orgera; and a brother, Bill (Barbara) Jackson of Franklin, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
