Howard P. Zbornak, 73, of Pocahontas died on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home in Belleville. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 15 at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory.

He was born on Dec. 5, 1941 in Belleville to Ted and Pauline (Piovano) Zbornak.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Zbornak (nee Carrell); a daughter, Tammy (Jon) Jensen of St Louis, Mo.; grandchildren, Shannon Gestes, Jennifer (Justin) Newkirk, Mark Jensen, Eric (Anais) Jensen, Dayna Jensen; great-grandchildren, Kyler Newkirk and Ele’a Jensen; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Zbornak; niece, Linda Zbornak; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara (Roger) Pikul and Rick (Cindy) Carrell; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Eugene G. Zbornak.

In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Siteman Cancer Research Center or the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland.
