Margaret Parent, 62

Margaret M. Parent, 62, of Swansea died on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Belleville.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 16 and again from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15 at the Moss Funeral Home in Breese. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston, with Father Daniel Friedman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery in Aviston.

She was born on Aug. 20, 1952 in Breese to Robert and Pauline (Venhaus) Voss. On Sept. 23, 1972, she married Leon Parent at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston. He passed away on Nov. 28, 2002.

Mrs. Parent was the branch manager at First National Bank in Waterloo and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fairview Heights. She enjoyed shopping and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Amy (Chad) Mooney and Ryan (Mindy)Parent, all of Swansea; grandchildren, Cole, Brock and Madeline Mooney, and Jackson and Cameron Parent; siblings, Jim (Betty) Voss of Highland and Marilyn (Bob) Sudholt of Aviston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Donald Voss.

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
