Dorothy C. Cryder, 97, of Trenton died on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2 at First United Methodist Church in Trenton. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2 at First United Methodist Church in Trenton, with the Rev. Mike Rucker and the Rev. Tom Rankin officiating. Burial will be in Trenton Cemetery.
She was born on Sept. 3, 1918 in Trenton to John and Johanna (Gross) Becker. She married John Cryder on May 19, 1942 in St. Louis, Mo. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2003.
Mrs. Cryder was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Trenton, the United Methodist Women, Wisdom Seekers, and Trenton Chapter 756 Order of the Eastern Star of Illinois.

Surviving are her children Terry Cryder, Cheryl (Mel) Barrett, Carol (Jack) Ziegler, all of Trenton; grandchildren, T.J. Cryder, Chad Cryder, Steven (Kay) Barett, Krista (Rob) VanderMolen, Kerrie (Tim) Klein, Kellie (Phil) Kunz and Brent (Lisa) Brede; and great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Michael Klein, Philip and Brady Kunz, Nate and Chloe Brede, and Christopher, Savannah and Parker Barrett.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Elmer, Walter, Phillip, Harold and Otto Becker; and sisters, Philipine Schmitt, and a sister who died in infancy.
