Arline Vosholler, 80

Arline M. Vosholler, 80, of Highland died on Monday, Dec. 7, 2015 at Legacy Place in Highland.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11 and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pierron, with Father Scott A. Snider, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Pierron.

She was born on July 20, 1935 in Troy to Henry and Gesina (Engelmann) Buske. On May 25, 1957, she married John E. Vosholler. He passed away on June 17, 2012.

Mrs. Vosholler attended Maple Grove Country School outside of Troy. She worked as a housekeeper. Later, she worked for East End Cafe, Basler Electric, and Imperial Clock Co., all in Highland.

After marriage, she and her husband lived in Pierron for 10 years. They then moved to their farm home near Pocahontas in 1968. She moved to Legacy Place in Highland in the summer of 2012.

She enjoyed reading, embroidering, gardening and time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Pocahontas and the church’s Altar Sodality.

Survivors include a daughter, Kay A. Vosholler of St. Louis, Mo.; sons, Kevin E. (Judy) Vosholler of St. Rose, Kent A. (Pam) Vosholler of Pocahontas and Kurt A. Vosholler of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Tyler J. Vosholler, Allie P. Hollenkamp, Eric Sussenbach, Jennifer E. Weiss, Stacie A. Richter and Tiffany L. Weiss; six great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Delores M. Buske of Highland, Doris Jean Buske of Highland, Eileen Buske of Highland; and a daughter-in-law, Laurie A. Vosholler of Sorento.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Keith T. Vosholler, who died on Oct. 19, 2015; a grandchild, Kyle J. Roberts, who died on March 10, 2013; sisters, Norma H. Schumacher, who died on April 15, 2008, Leona M. Prott, who died on Feb. 6, 1997, Erna Smith, and Irene Buske, who died as an infant; and brothers, Vernon E. Buske, who died on Jan. 1, 2014, Melvin E. Buske, who died on March 26, 1991, Elmer Buske, Lester E. Buske, who died on Sept. 22, 1995; and Herbert Buske, who died as an infant.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.
