Kenneth E. Weiss Sr., 77, of Greenville died on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015 at his home.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 22 at Young Funeral Home in Greenville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23 at Young Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hug Cemetery in Millersburg.
He was born on April 9, 1938 south of Greenville to Melvin and Ola (Worstell) Weiss. He married Mary C. Rohde on Dec. 6, 1958 by the Rev. Robert Berger at The Presbyterian Church in Greenville. He and his wife enjoyed 57 years together. She survives in Greenville.
Mr. Weiss farmed all of his life in Millersburg, retiring in 2012. He was a member of The American Farm Heritage Museum, Bond County Farm Bureau, Jamestown Evangelical United Church of Christ, and was a former member of the Bond County Shifters Club.

Other survivors include his children, Debra (Mark) Hamel of Greenville, Ken Weiss Jr. of Highland, Donna Weiss of Greenville, and Kurt Weiss of Villa Ridge, Mo.; grandchildren, Rachel (Joe) Horsfall of Edwardsville, Jared Hamel of Manhatten, Kan., Megan (Michael) Coling of Greenville, Kenny Weiss of Pocahontas, and Kurt and Kara Weiss of Villa Ridge, Mo.; great-grandchildren, Belle and Ava Horsfall of Edwardsville, and Emmy and Keegan Coling of Greenville; and a sister, Shirley (Al) Sessler of Little Rock, Ark.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Diana; and a sister, Norma Jean Pourchot.
