Mary L. Manville, 80, of Highland died on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 at her home.
Visitation will be private. A private funeral service will be held, with the Rev. Chris Hill, senior pastor of Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland, officiating. Burial will be in Highland City Cemetery. Meridith Funeral Home in Highland is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on April 22, 1935 in Highland to Walter and Verna (Keilbach) Merkle. On March 19, 1954, she married Jim Manville at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland. He survives in Highland.
Mrs. Manville was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Highland. After retirement, she decided to do some traveling, which she really enjoyed. She loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Other survivors include sons, Thomas James (Susan M.) Manville of Highland and Scott Allan Manville of Highland; grandchildren, Craig Allan (Amber) Manville, Timothy James (Ashley) Manville, Blake Allan Manville (fiance Maria Minton) and Nicholas Allan Manville; great-grandchildren, Camden, Brinnely and Emmory Manville; sisters, Viola “Tootie” Reding of Highland, Peggy (John) Oravec of Highland and Evelyn Rommerskirchen of Pocahontas; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Florence LeBegue and Ann VonHatten; and a brother, Waldo “Bud” Merkle.
