Kenneth A. Scoggins, 71, of Mulberry Grove died on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at St. Louis University Hospital.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 11at Young Funeral Home in Greenville. A funeral service will be he held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 12 at Young Funeral Home in Greenville, with the Rev. Randy Whitehead officiating. Burial will be in Noffsinger Cemetery.
He was born on Dec. 11, 1944 in Jerseyville to Alvin E. Sies and Mildred A. (Baze) Welch. He married Janet Rench on Jan. 20, 1962 in Alton. She survives in Mulberry Grove.
Mr. Scoggins grew up in the Staunton and Jerseyville areas and moved to Mulberry Grove in 1970. He worked at Midwest Commodities for 17 years and the drove a truck for Buske Trucking for 10 years.

Other survivors include sons, Rick (Lisa) Scoggins of Highland and Rusty (Angela) Scoggins of Mulberry Grove; half-sisters, Georgia Armstrong of Greenville and Dimitria (Sies) Davis of Staunton; grandchildren Keith (Jessica) Scoggins and Kaleb Scoggins of Mulberry Grove, K Kaylee (Dave) Wilson and Lauren Scoggins of Highland, Zachary and Nathan Richardson of Pleasant Mound, Ill., and Heather Richardson of Greenville; and great-grandchildren Blake, Carter and Khloe Scoggins, and Ava and Nora Wilson.
