Carol L. Dauderman, 82, of Alhambra died on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016 at Faith Care Center in Highland.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20 at Dauderman Mortuary in Alhambra and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21 at Salem United Church of Christ in Alhambra. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21 at Salem United Church of Christ in Alhambra, with the Rev. Jerry Amiri, senior pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Alhambra.
She was born on Dec. 18, 1933 in Hillsboro to Irvin and Frances (Roseman) Barnes. On June 29, 1952, she married Robert M. “Bob” Dauderman. He survives in Alhambra.
Mrs. Dauderman moved to Alhambra in 1943. She graduated from Highland High School in 1951. She worked for Alhambra Grain and Feed while she was a sophomore in high school.

After graduation, she worked at First National Bank in Highland. From 1952-1953, she worked for Cluett and Peabody in St. Louis, Mo. In 1953, she returned to Alhambra Grain and Feed, while her husband was in the service and until pregnant with her first daughter, Susan. She then helped her husband with the funeral business.
About 1980, Mrs. Dauderman became a real estate agent for Schlemer Realty, then Eagle Realty. From 1963-1985, she helped her husband with Galaxy Restaurant in Alhambra. From 1987-1990, she worked for Landmark Bank in Troy. In 1990, she went to work for the Madison County Housing Authority and retired in 1997. She received her funeral director’s license and helped her husband operate Dauderman Mortuary.
She enjoyed genealogy, flower beds, gardening, crossword puzzles, her family, and her home.
She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Alhambra and the Salem UCC Women’s Guild. She was also a member of American Legion Auxiliary Post 1147 in Alhambra, the Alhambra Community Club, and the Illinois Funeral Directors Association.
Other survivors include daughters, Susan Jo “Susi” (Kenneth) Miller of Edwardsville and Cindy Lee (Gary) Henschen of Alhambra; a son, Joseph Robert “Joe” (Deanna) Dauderman of Alhambra; grandchildren, Nicholas G. Henschen of Alhambra, Chad M. (Tara) Schuster of Highland, Amy L. Henschen of Alhambra, Gena S. (Ryan) Hodapp of Troy, Robert J. “Bobby” (Kelsey) Dauderman of Alhambra, Michael B. Dauderman of Alhambra and Krista J. Miller of Edwardsville; and great-grandchildren, Beau R. Hodapp of Troy and Bradley M. Dauderman of Alhambra.
She was preceded in death by her father, who died on April 2, 1965; her mother, who died on Jan. 15, 1996; and a sister, Betty A. Volz, who died on Aug. 8, 2015.
