Rena L. Hahn, 53, of Highland died on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland, with the Rev. Sean Holloway, pastor of First Baptist Church in Highland, officiating. Mrs. Hahn requested that her body be donated to Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo.

She was born on May 17, 1962 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She had done active service with the U.S. Air Force and worked at Jefferson Smurfit in Highland.

Survivors include sons, Adrian Ramirez of Highland and U.S. Army Sgt. Benjamin T. Hahn of Fort Riley, Kan.; a daughter, Malinda M. (Don) Harris of Lebanon; brothers, Russell Worstell of Mattoon, Ricky (Melissa) Worstell of Indiana, Ind., and Randy (Ging) Worstell of Des Moines, Iowa; sisters, Ronny Morton of Snider, Texas, and Rose Anna Hart of Collinsville; her step-mother, Barbara A. Kleine of Collinsville; and grandchildren, Kiara and Aiden Ramirez.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Alberta Worstell (nee Riddell); and a sister, Rhonda Johnson, who died in September 2010.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
