Jayne Redden, 54
Jayne Melynda Redden, 54, died on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016 in St. Augustine, Fla., surrounded by her family and friends.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at the Good News Church Wildwood Campus in St. Augustine, Fla., with Pastor Smiley Sturgis officiating.
She was born on Nov. 28, 1961 in Oberlin, Ohio, to Harry Gray and Bonnie Luckey.
Mrs. Redden was a former resident of Highland and a 1980 graduate of Highland High School. She lived and worked as a registered nurse in St. Augustine for many years and was an active member of her church.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, and faithfully served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She joyfully joined her husband ministering in Jesus’ name to the poor, malnourished and disadvantaged children of Haiti, touching the lives of thousands of people. Her passion to help people radiated to her loved ones and strangers alike.
She is survived by her husband, Edsel Redden of St. Augustine, Fla.; daughters, Amanda Morgan and Katie Morgan, both of St. Augustine, Fla.; her mother, who lives in Oberlin, Ohio; a sister, Beth Venable of Smyrna, Tenn.; and brothers, Michael Gray of High Point, N.C., James Gray of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Jack (Kim) Gray of Highland.
She was preceded in death by her father.
