Verna L. Koppers, 102, of Trenton died on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Aviston Countryside Manor.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton, with Father Gene Neff officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Trenton.
She was born on April 3, 1913 in rural Trenton to George and Theresa (Keim) Ganz. She married Vincent Koppers on April 18, 1929 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Trenton. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Koppers was a homemaker and a former seamstress. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church and Altar Sodality in Trenton.

Survivors include a daughter, Jean Koch of Trenton; grandchildren, Harvey (Candy) Guenther of Trenton, Connie (Carl) Petersen of Harlan, Iowa, and Craig Crabb of Lake Ozark, Mo.; step-grandchildren, Sharon (Stan) Haar and Dennis Koch, all of Highland; a great-grandchild, Marilka (David) Velez of Wauwatosa, Wis.; step-great-grandchildren, Jason (Tracy) Hertz of Washington state and Matt Haar of Highland.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Janet Crabb; and sons-in-law, Louis Koch and William Crabb.
Memorials may be made to the Trenton Fire Department or to the Trenton Police Department.
