Randolph Robinson, 67

Randolph E. “Randy” Robinson, 67, of Pocahontas died on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Greenville Regional, following a long battle with cancer.

A funeral service was held on Monday, March 14 at Meridith Funeral Home, with Dave Bradshaw, chaplain of Bond County Hospice, and Pastor Ron Habermehl officiating. Burial was in Highland City Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 31, 1948 in East St. Louis to Raymond and Violet (Abell) Robinson. On Nov. 16, 2006, he married Carolyn Hinze at Southern Baptist Church in Highland. She survives in Pocahontas.

Mr. Robinson was a member of Local 110 in St. Louis, Mo. He enjoyed watching Westerns on TV. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and he loved spending time with his wife. He liked to go fishing and barbecue.

Other survivors include his children, Warren Robinson, Patsy Hill, Judy (Davey) Thompson and Lisa (Ryan) Anderson; step-children, Carol (Roger) Weiss and Billie Singleton; grandchildren, Krista Hill, Justin Hill, Joshua Hill, Shanna Hill, Heather Thompson, Amber Thompson, Rysin Anderson and Saryn Rachel Anderson; step-grandchildren, Abby Jo Weiss, Miranda Weiss, Maggie Weiss, Josie Singleton and Luke Hofmann; 13 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Ardie (Bill) Foster, Kevin (Jolynn) Robinson and Cindy Killberry; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Michael Robinson and Donald Ray Robinson; a nephew, Ryan Killberry; and a granddaughter, Brittany Robinson.

Memorials may be made to Bond County Hospice.
