Marcella Hohrein, 77
Marcella A. “Sally” Hohrein, 77, of Lebanon died on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 28 and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Lebanon. Meyer Funeral Home in Lebanon is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on March 13, 1939 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland to Louis and Rosa (Nungesser) Kehrli. On April 28, 1959, she married Norbert Hohrein at St. Paul Catholic Church in Highland. He survives in Lebanon.
Mrs. Hohrein was a farm wife and supported her husband. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Lebanon. She also belonged to the Highland Historical Society, several church organizations, and the Emerald Mound Grange. She didn’t know a stranger and was a good person with a heart of gold, helping anyone she could. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved baking and cooking and was known for her pies.
Other survivors include daughters, Ellen (Lenny) Reinacher of Lebanon, Sara (Mike) Baer of Trenton and Nicole Hohrein of Lebanon; a son, Nicholas (Debbie) Hohrein of Lebanon; grandchildren, Jessica (Dereck) Driemeyer, Monica Reinacher, Joshua (fiance Jen Berkemann) Vrell, and Kyle and Tyler Hohrein; great-grandchildren, Logan and Brady Driemeyer; as well as nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Caroline Wall; and a brother, Albert Kehrli.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Cemetery, Heartland Hospice, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
