Joan Morrison, 78

Joan Morrison, 78, of Highland, formerly of Staunton, died on Friday, March 25, 2016 at Hitz Memorial Home in Alhambra.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 31 at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 1 the funeral home, with Pastor Mike Schoenherr officiating. Interment of cremains will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton.

She was born on April 4, 1937 in Alton to Albert R. and Marie (Langley) Williams. She married Charles E. Morrison on June 22, 1957 in Alton. He passed away on June 19, 2001.

Mrs. Morrison was a homemaker.

Survivors include daughters, Pam (Randy) Hamilton of Highland and Tina (Bruce) Pierson of Girard, Ill.; a son, DeWayne Morrison of Staunton; grandchildren, Kevin (Michelle) Hamilton, Michael (Ashley) Hamilton, Amber (Matthew) Stewart, Crystal Tompkins (fiancé Robert McNear), Charles Elders, Daryc (Tiffany) Morrison and Dylan Morrison; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the family.
