Aneda Rutz, 98
Aneda Rutz, 98, of Highland died on Friday March 25, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5 at Meridith Funeral Home in Highland and and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6 at Grantfork United Church of Christ. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6 at Grantfork United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Tim Darmour-Paul, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland City Cemetery.
She was born May 19, 1917 in Sebastopol, near Highland, to Octave and Minnie (Zobrist) Lebegue. On June 26, 1935, she married Wilfred Rutz in Highland. He passed away on Aug. 21, 1975.
Mrs. Rutz was a member of Grantfork United Church of Christ. She loved to do jigsaw puzzles, genealogy and play bingo. She was a member of the Kitchen Band at Highland Home, the JOY Singers, Homemakers of Madison County, Royal Neighbors, and the Woodmen of the World. She would volunteer whenever she could, and she loved to watch people. She loved to be around her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Delmar (June) Rutz of Eldorado Hills, Calif., Keith Rutz of San Francisco, Calif., and Roger Rutz of Collinsville; a daughter-in-law, Betty Rutz; a brother, Herman Lebegue; a sister-in-law, Janet Lebegue; grandchildren, Terri (Greg) Walters, Tammy (Jim) Blumberg, Tim (Clara) Rutz, Ty (Shamale) Rutz, Aaron (Tracie) Rutz, Ryan Rutz, Sherry (Spencer) Wiggers, Cecily (Ari) Gorfain, Melissa Rutz, Stacey Rutz and Maximillion Rutz; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her father, who died on Oct. 21, 1978; her mother, who died on Oct. 8, 1976; a son, Harold Rutz, who died on Nov. 10, 2012; a granddaughter, Lauren Rutz, who died on Aug. 25, 2007; brothers and sisters, Harlan Lebegue, who died on June 29, 1996, Lester Lebegue, who died on May 13, 2015, Ordella Rutz, who died on Oct. 12, 2005, and Dorothy Mick, who died on Feb. 11, 2007; a nephew, Gary Rutz, who died on Aug. 14, 2014; sisters-in-law, Arzella Lebegue, who died on May 18, 2001, and Monetta Lebegue, who died on July 23, 2014; and a brother-in-law, Vernon Mick, who died on Sept. 25, 2006.
